May 2008.....The Black Freisan is sketched out and already painted.....

Once the background colors which is my sunset scape is painted to my satisfaction I then paint the bottem half of the canvas black. This is the start of my Silhouette painting which will be titled "Cattle on the Ridgeline."

More photos are due!! Remember this is a work in progress!!

Here I've added in a two more trees to the painting.

Wall Mural at Fairview United Methodist Church, Maryville, TN

I've been commissioned to do a wall mural for the special needs room of the church. The wall itself measures 22 feet by 9 feet. I began by sketching the design out on paper, and combined two different designs that I liked.

Here alot of the base coat colors have been laid.

Another view of the pond, the ducks in the pond. And the tree to the far right. In the background you can see the church with a steeple. Which hasn't been painted in yet. But the windows will be painted in to simulate stain glass and the doors are open with a path leading up to them. Welcoming all who come to church.

Now Ive begun painting in my Silhoutte trees. This will be the first of several trees that will be painted in different degrees. Some I will paint this big, as others will be painted as smaller trees to give the painting emphasis on the depth of the wooded area the cattle will be moving through.

Ive added in two more trees. As well, I have begun painting in a few cows upon the ridgeline.

The photo to the left is the honey tree, where a small hole with honey and bees will be buzzing about. You can also see the tree stump, and what hasn't been painted in yet, is a black bear who is quietly snoozing with one eye open.

The above photo is of the dock. Where one duck is standing out on a rock.

Here is a close up of the dock and the duck sitting on the rock.

Alot of work is still needed on this mural.......
